You cannot blame the ego
You cannot blame the ego (i.e the idea of the self resulting from self-consciousness), for it is merely a glove worn by the Supreme Self, the Source of All.
Even as we say "there is no me" or "all actions which arise from the "I", reinforce the idea of an "I"" or "he who thinks he is an actor is a fool", we prove just as ignorant as those who are confused by or attached to the ego.Ultimately indeed, it is the Supreme, the Unseen, which moves all things as they are, things which, therefore, cannot escape their nature.
You cannot blame the ego, neither that which wants power over this world, nor that which wants to escape this world. The Supreme Self never wanders naked.

Reality, or the One Light Which Is, Cannot be realised, i.e. known, as long as it is seen as plural. Plurality nevertheless can be real, therefore -- and thankfully -- Reality is never far. The "Me" which we often take to be singular, is not. The "Me" implies a "not-Me", it is therefore inherently dual, i.e. plural. The "Me" cannot stand in the way of anyone, for to whom can the "Me" belong? The "Me" has no agency in singularity, for singularity knows no other to affect it. And just as the face is seen by facing tranquil water, so can the "Me" be seen by facing quiet contemplation. It is only in the seeing of the "Me" that the "non-Me" can be known. The "Me-not-Me" is singular only. but it is known by no Me, nor by non-Me, it is known by both and neither. For true knowledge already is, as Reality, or the One Light Which Is.
